Reviews
This place is great, with a beatiful view at the mountains. Just be careful if you have a little kid- there is a play space downstairs and if you want to see something OUTSIDE of the hotel your child will be constantly asking "Can we already go back to the hotel, please?" No matter what you'd be doing :D
The hotel is very nice and recently renovated. I requested 2 rooms with mountain views for me and my students and that is exactly what I got. There are grocery stores close to the hotel and nice Karczma Polish Mountain restaurants. The continental breakfast was very good and the rooms were very cozy with new comforting mattresses. The only problem was that the Sauna was not available to use until 20:00, which gave us more motivation to head out and go to the hot spring therma pools.
Found the hotel online and picked it based on reviews and on price. We had no problems with anything during our stay here, the service was friendly. The hotel itself and the rooms were very clean. I am sure we will be back again.
The guest-house seems to be pretty decent by the looks. The exterior as well as the interior is being taken care of. It has also an outdoor play ground and a well equipped indoor game room for children. A nice touch is a spa room.
It is a pitty though that the services are far behind the looks. First of all, there is a language barrier. Upon reservation through Booking, we received a confirmation email in polish with the opyion to pay in złoty, even if the offered price was in €. From there it continued as all the information and instructions for the guests is in polish only.
The description of the hotel options is not accurate as well. It mentions a bar which in reality is merely a couple of liquor bottles at the reception. Draft wine was served at late lunch, but with no option to buy it at other times. Getting a beer at this place is an afamant impossibility. A couple of small improvements could be done also in the coffe room as they call it, which is a place with a coffee machine with the option to make some tea. The problem is we had to discover the place by ourselves and the only available tea was black which applies to breakfast too. What I see as an issue of discomfort is the missing possibility to control the temperature in your room as the radiator is remotely controlled.
The worst aspect though is the general disinterest, unwillingness and unfriendliness of the staff. There is no place to spend time other than at your room. We were a small group and as the hotel is midding a bar or restaurant, we wanted to spend the evening in the dining room, where the staff refused to turn on the lights for us... After some convincing we could sit in the shadows as they turned on ONE lamp out of many in the hall. Never again, thank you.
The room with a perfect view on Tatra's. Great meals and familiar atmosphere. Ideal place for the time with kids.
